EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SOUGHT FOR PRINCESS WALLINGTON COMMUNITY PARKLAND REDEVELOPMENT PUBLIC ARTWORKS
APPARATUS is calling for Western Australian artists to register their interest in developing new artworks as part of Princess Wallington Community Parkland Redevelopment.
The Princess Wallington Community Parkland in Balga is undergoing a major redevelopment to become a place for all generations and ethnicity groups.
The City of Stirling, the Princess Wallington Community Parkland will provide the community with accessible recreational options and create a new community meeting place that will attract a wide range of users and community events.
The commissioned artist will be invited to develop a suite of site-specific artworks that celebrate and reflect the cultural diversity of the local community.
An important component of this project is the engagement of the community. It is intended that the public art process will involve developing and facilitating workshop/s with a local school or community group as nominated by the City of Stirling. These workshops will positively influence the design outcome of the project.
The artist will collaborate closely with the City of Stirling and the Project Design and Construction Team to integrate the artworks into the parkland design.
Artists or Artist Teams are invited to submit an EOI for this opportunity via email according to the details below.
