Call for EOIs Esperance Civic Centre Artwork

APPARATUS is calling for Western Australian artists to register their interest in developing a new artwork for the Esperance Civic Centre.
The Esperance Civic Centre is a community focal point, providing a major entertainment venue in the south east of Western Australia.
The Shire of Esperance is currently undertaking a renovation program to modernise and freshen up the Esperance Civic Centre. This has been extended to a façade treatment including a mural and light-based artwork.
The project will be undertaken as a collaboration with the Shire of Esperance, the Cannery Arts Centre, the Artist, APPARATUS and Lighting Engineers and will involve careful consideration of the expression of the artwork within the surrounding environment and the community.
A thoughtfully considered mural will transform the exterior of the building into a local landmark attraction and an Instagram hot-spot for locals, visitors and performers alike.
It is intended that on completion, the Artist will be involved in a community engagement workshop/ seminar to be developed in partnership with the Shire of Esperance and the Cannery Arts Centre.
Artists or Artist Teams are invited to submit an EOI for this opportunity via email according to the details within the Artist Brief EOI.
